Covid-19 Recovery Through Design – The Main Street Design Challenge
The Council for Canadian Urbanism is a lead partner on the national Main Street Design Challenge with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Canadian Urban Institute. The program is focused on using design to help main streets across the country recover from the Covid-19 Pandemic. Following from a national call for design ideas, a resource manual is being produced that will allow practitioners, municipalities, main street organizations and businesses to consider new ideas that can help revive the attraction to main streets in the face of Covid-19 challenges. Check out the Main Street Design Challenge website and see submissions made to date. Help main streets recover through the power of innovative urban design.
